Birmingham (+1.25) vs Arsenal (-1.25)

Arsenal have a couple of problems mainly in defence where Vermaelen is suspended and Gallas is injured, so it is likely that Campbell and Silverstre will play at centre back. If this wasn't bad enough Wenger also believes that Campbell is suffering from tiredness due to his age, but he has no choice other than to play him. Bendtner will also play despite the fact that he hasn't trained yet since sustaining an ankle injury last week. The squad will be stretched and if Bendtner is not match sharp I think Arsenal will struggle, as his height advantage over the Birmingham centre backs offers something different when trying to penetrate a well organised defence that are hard to pass through. The team news does not look good for Arsenal, who must be considered too short at 1.55 travelling to St Andrew's which is such a difficult place to go. Despite playing well lately, I think Arsenal often struggle away from, needing late goals to beat both Stoke and Hull recently.

Birmingham have lost their brilliant mid season form and are starting to find it harder to get results, especially away from home. However, at home they can beat anyone and have not lost a league game at St Andrew's for eleven games, picking up points against Spurs, Everton, Chelsea and Manchester United. In Jerome and Benitez they have two quick strikers and, in this game especially, that will be a massive advantage. The ageing legs of Silvestre and Campbell will be fully tested and I cannot see them keeping up the whole match. Sources indicate Birmingham have no new injury worries. All things considered the odds in this one are massive for me and I'll take them with fairly high stakes.
